PROJECT BINOVA

The BiNOVA project has as a main objective the development of a new generation Doctor Machine, now called ETERNA, together with some in line quality control devices such as:

• 3D vision winding quality evaluation in open or closed loop control
• Substrate physical characteristics such as elasticity modulus to accomplish the web tension calculation of the machine.

The ETERNA Doctor Machine consists in two high speed winders performing both rewinder and unwinder running under a proper and accurate web tension in function of the selected substrate. The machine can be also equipped with several features such as Vision (web viewing and inspection), 3D Vision surface analysis, thermo splicing, trimming, salvage chucks, among others.

ETERNA

ETERNA is a high performance and high productivity doctor machine capable to run a wide range of substrates mainly paper based from 80 up to 460 gsm. ETERNA was developed focused in three main vectors:

ENERGY EFFICIENY

Thanks to the direct drive concept, using high efficiency synchronous servo motors running as motor on the rewinder and generator on the unwinder, the energy consumption is extremely low. The machine is also designed to incorporate additional features such as inspection and web viewing systems, splicing systems, bobbin winding quality among others.
